Enrichment Actitives

The Mini provides a learning experience like no other. Through a variety of annual field trips, students explore the curriculum beyond the classroom, gaining a perspective that perfectly compliments the in-school material. The field trips also help grow the strong social aspect of the Mini, facilitating the development of leadership skills and encouraging student bonding across all grades.

Winter Prom

This In-School Activity usually takes place in December and is for all grades.

Prom is a themed dinner/dance that takes place at the False Creek Community Centre the 1st Saturday in December.  The theme, decorations and other organizational tasks required to hold this event are handled by the Grade 12 Leadership class. Junior Mini students are assigned a date with a senior Mini student.  Students wear formal attire and bring a gift for their date.  Each grade is responsible for providing 1 of the courses of the meal.  During the event students may have their portraits taken by a parent-volunteer in an adjoining room that has been converted to a photo studio. After dinner there are fun events such as the broom dance and other class dances.
