Return location: East Boulevard at 37th Avenue
Transportation mode: School Bus (Lynch Bus Line) between PG Mini & Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal.
BC Ferries between Horseshoe Bay & Departure Bay.
Chartered Bus (Smith Transportation) between Departure Bay & Strathcona Park Lodge

The fee covers all costs including all transportation. All meals, accommodation, instructors, facilities, guide and gear are also included.
This is a class activity for grade 9 & 10 students. All students are expected to take part in this field trip. Please email Mr. Hamilton if you need financial assistance.

Strathcona will also require:
Additional Informed Consent and Acknowledgement of Risk form (hard copy distributed in class in February) returned to Mr. Hamilton by March 9.

Equipment Reminders (Detailed packing list provided by Strathcona Lodge in student package distributed in class in February):
-Day Pack
-Bagged lunch for Monday
-Back pack (required for all trips). We suggest you borrow equipment if possible, rather than buy. The PG Mini Society has some equipment that can be borrowed. Please contact Carla Shore for more information.
*Remember, it can be cold and very wet!
Potential Known Risks & Safety Information:
There are inherent risks with these outdoor activities. All precautions will be taken by trained staff and chaperones to ensure a safe experience for all participants. Students are asked to listen carefully to and obey all instructions from staff and chaperones and refer to information package from Strathcona Lodge.
Safety Instructions:
Students must pack weather-appropriate gear and behave in a way that holds all students’ safety as paramount.
Behaviour Expectations:
Students are expected to willingly follow instructions from the Point Grey Mini School staff, Strathcona Park Lodge staff and parent chaperones, especially in regard to to safety issues. It is important that students understand that non-prescriptive drugs and alcohol are forbidden during all school functions. Similarly, there will be no smoking permitted. Any serious infraction will result in the students being returned to Vancouver at their own expense and their future involvement at Point Grey Mini School will to be re-evaluated.
