Mrs. Patrick was the Humanities 8 & 11 teacher at Point Grey Mini since 1997. After graduating from UBC with a B.A. in English and History, and a Diploma in Education, she spent 3 years teaching in New Zealand. An avid reader and bibliophile, she also has her Diploma in Teacher Librarianship, is one of Point Grey's teacher-librarians, and a firm believer in the importance of reading for pleasure. Outside of school she enjoys cooking, gardening and travelling - especially road trips because they offer not only a change of scenery, but plenty of opportunities for reading. Her two favourite Mini School excursions are the Bamfield trip, which manages to combine a road trip with both a visit to the beach and some endlessly fascinating Marine Biology, and the Ashland trip, which combines a road trip with Shakespeare. As of the fall of 2018, Mrs. Patrick is taking on an expanded role as Point Grey's Head Librarian, but will be joining us often on Mini field trips and events.
